"You're not authorized to add to this calendar" message

Solution
There is a checkbox on your counselor page that causes this message.
 
If you are authorized:
 
Go to Setup\Counselor\Staff
Select your name in blue
At the bottom left, remove the check from the box named Block Appointment Scheduling
