Error message: "If you feel this code is an accurate icd10 billing code, and have checked this website https://www.icd10data.com/ and the code is correct, please call us at 888-435-8203, so we can add the code to our database."

Solution

Message received when attempting to submit a claim:

 

"If you feel this code is an accurate icd10 billing code, and have checked this website https://www.icd10data.com/ and the code is correct, please call us at 888-435-8203, so we can add the code to our database."

 

  1. Go to Individual\Progress notes
  2. Select the client name
  3. View the sessions down below
  4. Check the diagnosis code field(s)
  5. If there are multiple diagnoses, they should be separated by a comma and NO space.
  6. Also, remove any extra commas.
  7. You should now be able to submit the claim successfully. If not, double-check the diagnosis code(s).

 

Previously we checked the additional diagnosis codes behind the scenes, we are now checking on the front end. Most likely, any time you see the message for the next few claims cycles, it will be due to spaces or extra commas that are not needed.
